This blog was started back in 2007 by Paula and her Basset Hound Elise. I was asked back in August '09 if I would consider writing a post once a month with some other dog lovers. I have enjoyed helping to post here and to read other blogs that have linked in. I would also have to say I have learned a lot from all of you on dog ownership and care, gottten chuckles from the stories and incidents, cried when some of my favorites have crossed over the rainbow bridge.
For the last little while I have helped this blog limp along. I am now wondering if this is even a page anyone is interested in or reads anymore at this point.
So I am hoping that if you are interested in seeing this blog continue, please let me know. If you are interested in contributing to blog posts, please let me know that too. You can contact me by posting a comment here or email to thegardenersixtythreeataoldotcom. (please substitute numerals, the @ sign and a . for dot, thank you!)
Otherwise, if I don't hear any response, I will know that it is time to take it offline.
Waiting to hear for DOT's,
Tina.
Please note:
We hope that you enjoy the DOT posts and the different views from everyone included. We promise lots of cute pictures, laughter, maybe a tear or two, and some information. Please note that the views and opinions expressed here are each author's own and do not necessarily represent DOT as a whole.

I for one have always enjoyed reading the posts on here. It's a shame it has pretty much gone away. I also enjoyed reading other people's blogs about their dogs. I as well have fallen down on my blogging. Seems my life has just not been interesting enough to blog about. But there have been some very nice bloggers and dogs I have come to know about through this site.
All this to say, you do what you have to do...
I don't link anymore, but I can't imagine not doing a dog post on Thursdays. However, I think you know that I too had a turn caring for this blog, and found it to be too much, on top of what I was already doing.
Likewise... do what is best for you. I suspect Paula will be fine with this blog continuing to exist in any fashion that is convenient.
I know it must take a lot to keep up with a weekly group blog, so like everyone else said, do what's best for you. Is it possible to leave the blog alone and just not update it? I know I have links to posts here on my blog from way back and I'd hate to see all the content lost.
