Welcome to Dogs on Thursday!! I hope everyone has been doing well. Paula is still on her trip and we wish her a safe and fun journey. If you have any questions or want to join our group please email me at gnat(at)barknknit(dot)com.
This weeks Doggie Spotlight is on Channon's Sissy.
Meet our diva. Gaylen announced upon seeing the earliest pictures of Sissy that we had a diva on our hands. A local friend and long-time, multiple basset hound owner had told me all along that females were almost a different breed, but still, we weren't quite prepared for the little girl the Knight named Mugsy's Little Sister, called Sissy. I eventually registered her as Haddon Wood's Princess of Joy, and she certainly continues to bring joy to our lives with her crazy antics.

She's terribly affectionate and sweet, when she isn't "all jacked up." We joke that if we had waited, we would have named her Gretchen - as in Gretchen Wilson, a country star proud of her wild, "redneck" ways - Danica - Danica Patrick, the Indy phenom - because Sissy gets "all jacked up" and creates her own "Sissy 500" through the house and/or outside. In fact, despite the misconception that bassets are lazy, relaxed dogs, this gal needs to stretch her legs daily.
Mugsy thinks she loves him a bit too much, but he tolerates her, and will even make the first move to snuggle with her if she is leaving him alone. Our Joy will be seven months old on Saturday, so we're looking forward to much, much more laughter and love with her.
Happy Dogs on Thursday to everyone!

Oh I just love that last shot of the two together, how precious!! I'm still waiting for Lady to settle on the floor to see what Coco does..lol
Happy Doggie Thursday to all!
She is a Diva! And don't think she'll be settling down for awhile - Abby is 9 and still running the doggy 500 (we just call it 100 mile an hour dog)! g
Thanks for featuring our princess! We really wouldn't change a thing about her; she's perfect, you see...
I love her expressive eyes!
Love the photo of the two of them sleeping together. Our boys don't seem to like each other enough to do that very often.
What cute dogs you have! I am very fond of the basset Hound as I had one growing up. His name was Chill and he had the biggest heart. Happy Thursday from Charli and I.
What a sweetheart!
I feel like I neglected my baby...I didn't post this week.
Being owned by a basset myself I sympathize with the basset 500, we have those too. Wish we could get sponsorship and a little money for all that noise.
Sissy, you're the cutest... welcome to your dogspot! :-)
Sissy and Mugsy are both so precious!! I send big wet kisses out to them both :)
Great profile Sissy!!!
xoxoxo,
